If anything it'll be a disadvantage because BA Holidays may have extra G bucket availability to get the price down, which earns less than the N class or higher that might be the cheapest available on a flight-only booking.
Im guaranteed silver this year and No way Ill make gold so would be daft of me to chase tier points over price. So I guess just be happy with the additional Avios. Is it much more Avios by the way?
