This is not sufficient for preventing passengers from getting onto the wrong plane.
I am also not convinced that the description of the boarding app requiring manual intervention is accurate.... for example, I don't recall seeing agents have to clear an error in a terminal when I have an exit row, or have to swap for a recently upgraded first class boarding pass... seems my incorrect boarding pass just gets ignored and they scan the next one.
The scanning terminals they have been using also have a display that does show text explaining the error when an error does occur.
They need to have different error sounds for different errors.
