My experience of Fast track arrivals last week was underwhelming. Arrived from AKL and i couldn't find my arrivals boarding pass! However, my booking reference was sufficient and the QR staff were very understanding.
However Emigration was an entirely different story. There were basically 3 blokes having a chat i expect about football or something else reported on social media as they all were intensely concentrated on their mobiles. Note only 1 of those emigration blokes was actually processing arrivals
There were 5 people in the queue for emigration. All off the AKL flight. 2 Germans 2 NZ and myself. I was last in the queue. It took 27 mins for the miserable disinterested rude mumbling geezer emigration officers to procees us. At least he proved he can multitask as he continued his chat with his other emigration mates throughout! It's ashame non of us could use any of the "3" automated gates available!
Just one other note when using the equivalent facility on departure 5hrs later please note the only attended gate is on the far right of the automated gates...
I appreciate QR have no jurisdiction over Emigration officers I'm sure they could help with some basic standards of customer service.
