I would say that is fair assessment. Relative to some of their competition they are not remarkable. Relative to Thai Airways, United, AA, Jet Airways, and even some newer JL products (JAL 788 shell flat neo) I would say that they hold their own still. I did find their food and service to be pretty solid as well. And sometimes I find CX J seat to be a bit uncomfortable. Not sure why. Just not super comfortable. Hopefully, this review gave you enough information to help when choosing which product to fly next time you are headed to the middle east.
