Has anyone tried doing this for an partnered flight?

i.e. flying either BR/CA from Terminal E, am I able to use Terminal D Premier access though I'm not flying UA? The reason I'm considering this is because twice very recently I've waited over 30 minutes (terminal E TSA) in the only line open for the late night flights. They close down the fast track for J/F travelers at terminal D in the evenings. They used to open it and there's nothing BR/CA can do about it.
