Had this issue a couple of weeks back. Was in Y but desk agent said I could use FT as a Gold.

Only when I got upstairs the gate wouldn't open - apparently you need a sticker thing. Seems strange that the agent mentioned FT eligibility and then didn't give me a sticker...
