Thanks for the advice to both who responded! We decided to risk it rather than connecting since we're making this a quick 4 day trip and want to maximize time. Broke up into two reservations and will have fingers crossed.

(On a side note, flying Singapore business back for the first time! So even if we're in economy, hopefully that will be a forgotten memory a few days later...)
