Yes you need to learn the "No". I actually started a thread about this on the UA board awhile back and there were so many replies - the last-min upgrade "split" party is always asking other pax to move. I hate to seem like a crotchety **** especially in a small cabin before a long flight, but my aisle seat is very important to me. And I will rarely give it up (but I will switch to another aisle.)
