Install every possible wifi connection source on every aircraft and develop an onboard system to optimize every connected passenger's wifi speed. Then market the hell out of this. Make it free for business select passengers. Expensive for the rest.
IMHO, Southwest has never really wanted to attract business travelers. They just wanted to create the appearance that the barriers to purchase for business travelers weren't so problematic.
Refundable fares (Business Select) are now
no longer refundable if any change is made to the itinerary. Instead of changing the system to not have that happen, they've decided that adding a disclosure about it is the solution. This shows you how dedicated they are to attracting and keeping business customers.
