So, it's been just over a month since the changes were implemented and was just curious to hear what everyone is experiencing on upgrades. Is it easier to upgrade? Was it ever really a problem in the past? Do you miss the certs?

Up until May 1st, I had taken 13 flt segments. On one of those segments (OAK-SEA) I was not able to upgrade.(Evening flt on a Friday.) For the month of May, I flew 6 segments and was upgraded on all segments. This included a trip to SJD with my wife, which as a companion was upgraded to first at time of booking. We booked the trip about four months in advance.(Used the Visa $50 companion cert to boot )

Most of my segments are SEA-OAK and SEA-LAX/SNA. I also try and book my trip 14 days out now instead of less than 7 days as used to be the case in the past. (Company trying to cut down on travel costs.)

I have also given to family some of the Gold certs that expire post April 30th and they have been able to upgrade at time of booking with no problems. So far so good...
