This one REALLY got my dander up. I'm taking a deep breath and...
...mounting soapbox.
I would expect the children to behave as young ladies and gentlemen, whatever their nationality. There is no reason why I should have to put up with the inappropriate behavior of someone else's child. If the child cannot behave in public, then the child stays at home. This is ESPECIALLY TRUE IN THE PREMIUM CABIN of an airplane, just like in a fine restaurant or anyplace else that places a premium price on a premium product!!!
I'm paying for business class by choice (and when I travel, out of my own pocket) in order to get some sleep, relax, get some work done, or just to enjoy the experience.
It is the responsibility of parents to discipline their children. That said, if parents are not doing so, then it is the responsibility of the flight attendants to act police-like in order to get children of passengers to behave. This is the same as adults getting out of line and the flight attendants having to step in. It's their job! I would expect them to ensure a peaceful cabin for the pleasure and benefit of ALL passengers on the flight. Nationality has nothing to do with it. Behave or we'll pull over to the nearest cloud and deplane you and your misbehaving children! (That last comment was meant to be sarcastic. Well...sort of...)
Dismounting soapbox.
