I'm really less bothered by those. The inconsistency is part of the problem with the TOD upgrades. Sometimes they do, sometimes they don't, if you pay a first class fare it does, but if you pay a TOD that is as much as the first class fare when combined with your ticket... maybe? Just make it count - period.
