No lawyer worth his/her salt is going to represent a client in a return protection claim without charging the client a few hundred dollars an hour.

Is any reasonable client going to pay $300 an hour to an attorney for a broken laptop worth a few hundred dollars? The legal fees would quickly outstrip any return protection for the laptop.
