Allowed Corporate ID for personal travel - How to decline insurance?

I've asked around my corporate travel department, and they have been less than helpful with this...

I have been told that our National/Enterprise corporate ID can be used for personal travel, but that the included insurance (Collision/Liability) does not apply. Because of my personal insurance, I need to make sure that my contract specifically says that coverage is declined.

While every exit booth agent ultimately has been able to waive the insurance, it always seems like a hassle. I had a 10 or 20 year supervisor at DTW a few weeks ago that at first flat out refused to believe it was possible, but after 10 minutes of messing around, found out what needed to be done.

I've asked to speak with our EAN rep to see if this can be figured out, but while I'm waiting to hear back- does anyone know a method to decline the insurance in advance, or specifics on how to describe to the exit agents what changes need to be made in the system?

Much Appreciation
