I see the nice Motel 6 sign in the background at $43.99 a night and this place is charging $108 and thinks they will attract "Millenials" at that price point? What were the nearby Choice Hotels options charging?
I am one of these "Millenials" and no way in hell I would pay $108 to stay at this place in OKC. It looks like it is worth perhaps $69 a night. Dispensers for soap? What is this, a public shower? A truck stop?
I see no desk, work space, or even sitting area in this room. Where are you supposed to put your suitcase? Even when traveling on leisure I often use the desk space to plan out a route, look at maps, etc. I don't care much about a sitting area but I know many people who do...
I'd consider the $113 HGI though, because HGI is nice, and a good value offering there with the nicer room, nicer breakfast, nicer surroundings, nicer other customers, and a brand that comes off as professional vs. trying to pander to some certain media-made up label group of people.
What about the pool/business center options at this property? I also find HGI provides nice reliable business centers with working printers and a good work space if need be, and typically it is isolated so it is quiet.
I suspect most HGI and Hampton front desks could check me in and out faster than I could do it myself, and tell me about the hotel amenities while they are at it... because they are really efficient.
I will have to try one of these places to see what it is like sometime, I suppose... just like I tried Home 2 Suites, once... would do it again only if it was priced about 10-15% below the next available Hilton option (hasn't happened yet in the past 6 years for me in my travels).
