Just have a few questions about mileage upgrades. I have 2 tickets booked for YYC-LAX flights at the end of August, and want to upgrade with miles. Is there any window in which the upgrades have to be done, ie. 72 hours before departure, or are they confirmable when redeemed? Also can I transfer miles to, or alternately redeem an upgrade for, my Dad, who I am traveling with? I have enough miles, but he is a few short.
