Itinerary for October 2017:

Origin --> Hub 1 --> Hub 2 --> YYZ

Aeroplan ticket, all segments ticketed in reward J. A couple months later, log in to carrier for "Origin --> Hub 1" flight, and ticket shows on carrier's website to be Economy. Call in to Aeroplan, Aeroplan confirms that no J availability at all in month preceding or after -- look on carrier's website, and confirm that route appears to have been converted to an all-Y config.

Anyone have any good ideas for options here? Unfortunately this carrier is the only Star Alliance carrier serving Origin. Since it was originally ticketed in reward J, would it be possible to convince Aeroplan to fly me from Origin to Hub 1 in J on a non-Star Alliance carrier? Or am I hooped? Not Aeroplan's fault here, so can't really get too mad about it.
