LHR-HEL-HKG with Finnair (sometimes returning with a BKK stop)
LHR-BKK-HKG (returning without the BKK stop) on BA and Cathay
The Finnair is better on tier points and I can identify the A350 flights from LHR to HEL too. But reading some trip reports, the Finnair A350 J seat gets very mixed reviews. I slept very well indeed in BA J and don't want to do J flights where I can't sleep.
Any commentary from the experts?
Having flown AY last month - yes the A350 is a lovely aircraft but I doubt I'd do it again. Ground staff at HKG not great and the IFE on the A350 very light on content.
CX and BA way to go - or if you can find a fare RJ - I really liked their 787 to HKG and it was cheap as chips
