I think it's also the case that hotels doesn't exist in a value vacuum and it's legitimate to call out hotels when they fall below acceptable thresholds.

Paying, say, 2,300$ a night for an ocean pavilion without pool in Phuket is outrageous, especially for the hard product you get at Amanpuri (these are, after all, Iniala prices).

Many of us (including me) are happy to pay above market because Aman delivers a unique experience. But we shouldn't be afraid to criticize them if they become unable to deliver something commensurate to the pricepoint.

Lastly, if I were Aman management and I had access to this granular, actionable feedback for free, I would be very thankful (and all over it, to understand what to improve).
