Sure, I get it. I've stayed at more than a few. Nonetheless, personally, I wouldn't get bent out of shape over someone asking me my room number.

I guess I just never thought to treat my family as staff. As always, YMMV.

I can absolutely agree with you on Point 2 - like bhrubin and others have said, it's why I refuse to stay there.

Look, I understand the frustration(s) many have with the "New Aman" vs the "Old Aman", and how service levels do seem to be falling/regressing to the mean.

And, when I stay at one, I do appreciate the convenience of never having to sign for things, etc etc.

I just truly could not believe that alone would wind someone up so much. The hard product would be a FAR bigger issue for me.

But then again, I've never had the scales *on* my eyes regarding Aman, so have never had to deal with the aftermath of them falling off.
