It varies by company and season but it could be as low as 550 THB and upwards towards 1000 THB per day. I've found Avis to be cheapest but Hertz has cleaner and newer cars.

Don't worry about learning manual, the places I rent from have all switched to fully automatic car stock.

Oh, and when you look for prices check the Thailand specific websites. Prices will be cheaper but you won't be able to add discount or promo codes.
