Apparently it's only the queen guest rooms on the ground floor that have baths, she has upgraded me to a king guest room on the " honors floor " and assures me it will be quiet....fingers crossed.
I booked a queen guest roomand now upgraded a couple of days before to a king guest room is kinda good I guess , I like the room in the review above but quietness is king for this stay.
I won't be arriving until around 10pm and I plan to be on the road swift after breakfast so a live report might be difficult but will try......will report back!
You should be fine, hotel is set back from main road and the bar is quite a distance from the bedrooms.
Long corridors give you further acoustic isolation.
Have stayed a couple of times and although it's been full the bar and restaurant both seemed quiet.
Ate in the bar both times as the restaurant choices didn't inspire.
Might be worth exporting some soap if you're staying in the Gateshead "Hell"ton failing that some cleaning products may be useful.
Good Luck!
