Definitely glad to see UA adding another frequency to EZE. Although the IAH flight geographically captures pretty much most of the US, having one option into and out of EZE really limited the scope of UA operations there and .
It will be interesting to see how EWREZE does though as when they dropped it they indicated there was "not sufficient demand." I think the difference now vs 2013 is 1) the entry fee into Argentina is no longer required, 2) the exchange rate is favorable to USD, 3) AA capacity might be down [although that was a quick observation I could be wrong]
1) The majority of those on the plane likely aren't paying the fee (i.e., Argentine nationals or those who have already paid)
2) The exchange rate isn't particularly favorable v. USD since the de facto end of the Dólar Blue. However, the AR$ is overvalued.
3) If AA capacity is down, it is only on aircraft type, not much on frequency. I believe it remains 1xDFW, 1xJFK, 1xMIA (night) and 1xMIA (day - but not daily).
