They were informed in advance of not being able to access the room one day, they returned back to a note telling them no access the following day as well.
With the first day I'd be happy to accept the 20k and find something to do but when you get very little notice of the following day and the 20k becomes "Food and drinks in the lobby" I think they are taking the mickey as I certainly don't value food and drinks in the lobby the same as 20k in points.
A note under the door is not acceptable full stop. This is a hotel that sells at £200+ a night and the management should know better.
