I seldom (more like have never flown) to/from Europe with CX, and I was wondering if European based CX FTers here can share about their outport departure experiences.

If I could choose any EU outport for departure (to HK), should I just be indifferent and choose the one that's most convenient? Are there any outports with above-and-beyond treatment for DM/GOs etc (like escort through security at US outports)? I assume lounges are forgettable for all stations but it's probably not worth an extra 150 GBP just to fly ex-LHR (it's a good thing to have 77Hs tho)?

Will be in J class most likely but I assume it doesn't really factor into the equation.
