Don't forget Sillicon Valley people are some of the highest paid in the world, some get easily 250,000 USD a year.
And in many cases, with Billion USD companies paying their airfare such as Apple, Google, Facebook, etc., then you start to wonder why the fares aren't even higher!
I visited Silicon Valley in November and I didn't even spend the night there, no reasonably priced hotels, airbnbs, even motel for peasants like me!

So that's why BA can get away with literal 'jetset' pricing! = )
