Can we assume that the flights you want are not available as DL codeshares?

I assume you've already tried to do a dummy booking on delta.dumb, but have you tried to call DL and ask whether they can put together the flights you want on a ticket? However, sometimes this is more expensive as the codeshare might only have higher fare classes available.

You could also try asking a *good* real live human travel agent.
