SO and I are planning our first trip with our infant and we are looking at going to Japan in October. JAL has 2 J seats available for the days we are interested in. Unfortunately the infant ticket will end up costing $1200. Instead of paying the infant lap ticket, would it be possible to book the 2 J seats for me and the baby and 1 economy award ticket for my husband and when it's time to fly can he sit in my infants reserved seat?
