Nasty stuff - personally I would not chew it (makes you look like you're chewing the cud !).
Years ago I lived above Club UK (before it was royally raided by the authorities), the pavements used to get covered with the stuff every weekend, finding some in a Highlife magazine must have been equally disgusting IMO you might as well be spitting as leaving the wretched stuff for someone else to find.
