Hepatitis B is found in saliva of an infected person and the disease can live outside the body for some time. Maybe it didn't help that there is an ongoing outbreak of Hep A traced back to a local bakery in my local area ( West of Scotland) with 9 people hospitalised and others under investigation.
Not that I'm into chewing pre-chewed gum, but the risk of inadvertently touching it is there. It's not that hard to dispose of it properly. In the grand scheme of things, the risk is low, but it's still there, which could be negated if some people had the forethought that the item in question (the magazine

) will be used by others afterwards.
