Sorry but you couldn't be more wrong. In Vietnam a lot of people have the same first and last names, middle names are how they differentiate.
The problem is not to differentiate people here but to have last name/1st name matching between the BP and the passport.
And what happens if some people having the same last and 1st names bears also the same middle name ? This case should exist, I'm sure.

I've been denied entry to security/airside and marched back to the desk because my middle name appeared in my passport but wasn't printed on the boarding pass.
I travelled many times to or through Vietnam, never had my middle name printed on the BP and never had any problem.
