I really hope this drops fares as well, I have a trip in June and I ended up booking my SFO-FAT round trip separately because it was actually cheaper, and it ended up being $300. Of course you can rent a car and drive for less but I'll be bringing my parents back with me one of the directions so that wasn't in the cards.

Plus there's no direct driving route to Fresno, still takes 4 hours...
