hi there,
just had landed at ZRH and found a large crack around the pull-up handle casing...filed report with LX and they gave me the damaged baggage report and told me to send photos to dolfi1920 to have my suitcase evaluated. (I found that being given the option of emailing or whatsapping the photos to a Polish mobile number felt a bit unprofessional)
I am assuming that since this is a structural damage to the main body of a hardcase, it is beyond repair and I will have to get a new suitcase. Ideal would be that LX reimburses me some money and I just buy my own suitcase...
1) does LX do that? or do they 'force' a new suitcase upon you (with no choice)?
2) if they reimburse, how much depreciation can I expect for a 2 year old suitcase?
