Rest rules (union and regulatory) have changed sufficiently in the past 20 years that I'm not sure this would work any more.

I did a couple IAH-SEA-IAH overnight turns (late IAH-SEA, redeye SEA-IAH) with the same crew a couple consecutive days. They liked it because it was a good ratio of worked hours to time away and they could still take the kids to school and pick them up after. But I don't think the FAT turn on this schedule would allow that.

And I'm 99.9% certain the pilots couldn't do it as the overnight turn even if they wanted to due to more strict FAA rules.
