The S320 CDI I got was a turbodiesel... they get 30 miles to the gallon... and diesel fuel is about $4 a gallon. About 150 miles later, total for gas is $20, and the driver will have a ****-eating grin after driving on the autobahn. Or, better yet, get a VW Golf TDI and your gas bill is halved. You can easily get a Turbodiesel - ranging from Golf to Phaeton V-10 or BMW 730d. They get excellent gas mileage!

I understand highway construction's not allowed on Augusts. It would depend on when he is travelling.
