I'd just keep the SLK and see what you can negotiate into when you get there.
My plan is to use my Southwest RR Plus card for all the reservations and payments. I believe it's a "Chase Signature" card and they limit cars by their make/model.
I'm planning on taking your advice, the MB is for the last day, so I might be able to negotiate something since I'll have already spent about $1000 with them.
