Flight 934 isn't as bad as you make it seem. It has a couple busts, but it's usually good. Let's take the month of April now that its complete. We know that a significant delay turns in into a red-eye thanks to LHR's curfew. It started off on the 1st with a red-eye. Since then only one red-eye and just two more delays over about a half hour (4/27 and 4/30). 86.6% were either on time or only very slightly delayed.

Doubt crew is a reason at a pilot base. I'm guessing a mechanical problem that can't be fixed in a timely manner. UA has very few spare 777s. They are pushed hard. Probably too hard.
