Good grief, thank you. I can't believe I hadn't figured this out.

This is such bizarre behavior to me. I find when I'm traveling international, the AA.com page will attempt to use the local countries site, literally the first time I access it. Yet, when I come back to the US it literally never seems to recognize it's back in the United States. That strikes me as very strange...
