I would much rather be able to fly to LHR during the day and be able to sleep in a bed once I get there vs a redeye. It also appears that they usually turn the inbound from HNL and only give a two hour turn for the plane so if there was a minor maintenance issue on the HNL flight it will delay this flight, I don't think it is the frame that is the problem but that UAs fleet is very thin right so they don't have a lot of planes sitting around, and with the 744 retirement that is going to into extend the international fleet more, where if they would keep the 744s for a few more years they could get a few more 787s and 77Ws to help give some slack.
