I accept that I may have been naive to assume that BA would treat me financially the same even though I chose to paddle my own canoe. I don't want any more than I would have received anyway, if my hotel was more than where they would have put me up, then fine, I will take the reduced amount. In fact, I am asking for less as I have not tried to claim clothing, meals, travel or the cost of the miles flight. I asked for £140 for a hotel room and 20 Tier Points.
For the sake of that I am now fired up for the CEDR process (thanks for the advice) for the full amount, I have now booked a different airline for a £5k flight to Singapore (and will continue to do so until I crack!) and on top of that I will go out of my way to share my experience with as many people as possible. All that for less than £200, is it really worth it. Why can't they see the big picture?
