To be honest, I wouldn't do that. You'd be spending £3K to get silver until end of June 2018 (one year)
Wait for your year to end then do a TP run. You can do Sweden to NZ on Qatar for example - £1.5K for 600 points. Instant Silver. Which you then keep until June 2019 (two years instead of one)
12 months of silver for £3K
or
24 months of silver for £1.5K
