Despite the fact that I travel excessively as a 20 year old, I still get quite scared during take-off and landing....one time, the passanger next to me saw that I was holding on to the side with an extremely tight grip. He turned to me and said "don't worry, UA trains all the AF1 pilots"....

just wanted to know whether he knew what he was talking about....
