Thank you all for the information. I'm bumming big time. I spent 2 months, everyday, 4 to 5 hours a day looking for the "Flat Seats". I used Seat Guru to flind the flights that had the flat seats. LAS MIA CUN where the only ones I found for thoes dates. I have paid hotel booking in CUN on 9/29 to 10/6, so I must travel then. I had bought a all-inclusive trip from Cheapcribbean and choose Virgin American. My guest and I are sitting in rows 16 & 18 R/T in eco seats. At the time I tried to upgrade to 1st or biz but it was an additional $4000. I figured I just take the eco seat credit of $800+ and use it at a later date. My guest is not a small/normal size person. On 9/29 at "check in" they will take 1 look at her and say "You need to buy a 2nd seat, but I'm sorry the flight is so booked up there aren't any seays avaible!" I thought I'd buy 2 R/T air tickets in biz or 1st on a different airline with flat seats. I still have the eco seats but sitting for that long, in a eco seat will kill me and won't fit my guest. Is my only option now is to wait till Aug and try to upgrade with Virgin then? It will be taking a huge risk. Does anyone have any ideas? Thank you bunches for any help you can offer!
