You can rent a bicycle at the hotel to explore the area, there isn't much to do though nearby the hotel. There are some restaurants nearby but it's more a residential area.
I usually rent a car because there is a lot to see within an hour driving time, e.g. White Temple, Singha Park, Golden Triangle, Karen Long Neck ( well wouldn't go there again ) Hot Springs, Mountains and many more. If u have more time go to Pu Chi Fah for sunrise but it is a crazy 2,5-3 hours drive.
The hotel also runs a shuttle to city center ( i dont remember if u have to pay ). Also grabtaxi app works fine and hotel can call taxi for you. I think it is around 100-150 THB to city center.
