The flights for South Africa in August went on sale last night for the first time in 5 months so I jumped on-board. I'll check to see whether upgrades are possible at a later point.

A colleague at work warned me about flying different airlines while on a BA ticket and missing out on TPs and avios points. I don't know the specifics of her situation but she was shocked that she didn't get them. Sorry for asking again but I just wanted to confirm that I would get full TPs and FF points if that Sydney to HK leg shown below is on Cathay? It's on a BA ticket but a Cathay flight.

London - Changi BA0011 - British Airways flight
Changi - Sydney BA0015 - British Airways flight

Sydney-Hong Kong BA4132 - Cathay Pacific flight
HongKong-London BA0028 - British Airways flight
