I sent five SMs since this post, and on the fifth one, somebody at Citi finally relented and granted my match request, so this card offer basically just became 70k miles for $5k spend in 12 months. Persistence paid off.
Edit: This is definitely new - I just received an e-mail from Citi confirming the 10k mile adjustment on my account.
I have been denied 6 times for 3 accounts of our churning team, only approved for the extra 10k once for a fourth account.(50k+10k bonus 3k-5k spending) this is a tough offer to get matched to a 60k, the old 40k+10k was so much easier, i got matched every single time, the 50k was easy as well, never got denied the extra 10k until i got the 50k+10k offer.
