By slowing the refund rate down, AMEX is drawing a line in the sand. It seems like they're trying to weed out the churners, the gamers, and the one-and-done types we read about in the retention threads.

I'm all for that- just build a bigger points balance if you want to use the 50% rebates for multiple tickets.
