Sorry to revive - there looked to be some serious knowledge in this thread so I'm after a bit of advice.

My wife's friend is a cabin manager (or host/hostess supervisor?) so a level above hostess. She put our passport details on her list this year and said she'd be happy for us to use it.

Obviously when someone does something nice for you, you don't want to then bombard them with questions.. I was wondering if anyone knew the answers to the below questions:
1) She mentioned there were ID50, ID90 and 'specials' that we might be able to get - it sounded like specials were underbooked off season flights that internal emirates staff get to put family/friends on at a discounted fare. Does anyone know what that would refer to?
2) Can you book J or F using the ID90 or ID50 discounts?
3) Do any skywards miles credit on these ticket types?
4) If you use say, an ID90 to book the base economy fare, can I use skyward points to upgrade us into a better cabin?
