I've stayed in both the Le Méridien and the Renaissance. I've stayed in the Le Meridien many times, as I've had very positive experiences there and in fact it's one of my favorite hotels anywhere. I've only stayed at the Renaissance once. I liked the Renaissance and wouldn't hesitate to stay there again. However, I do prefer the Le Meridien (despite the fact that being right on Las Ramblas isn't my favorite spot), as it just has some unique and distinctive touches about it. As I said, it's a favorite.
Those two properties both some great, but are unfortunately out of our price range. I also read that the Las Ramblas area gets pretty rowdy at night, and can be a noise issue for people staying around that area?
