If so, very simple solution, book one ways. Most all North American tickets can be had as two one ways for same round price trip price. Call it the Southwest effect

Been doing it myself for years in case I need to change a flight and don't have to reprice both legs. Downside if you have to change both, they you get hit with two change fees.
